An Act to define the Reserves of the Wellington Hospital, Lunatic Asylum, Home for the Aged, and Orphanage.

  • Preamble

    WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedules hereto were held by the Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, and now, by virtue of The Abolition of Provinces Act 1875, have become vested in Her Majesty the Queen:

    And whereas the said lands have long since been appropriated to the respective purposes hereinafter mentioned, but by reason of their boundaries not having hitherto been specifically defined, they have not been absolutely vested in the institutions for which they were intended:

    And whereas it is expedient to make an apportionment of the said lands in manner hereinafter mentioned:

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
