An Act to annex a Portion of the Auckland Domain to the Grounds of the Auckland Hospital.

  • Preamble


    The Preamble was repealed, as from 19 November 1907, by section 2 Stautes Repeal Act 1907 (1907 No 40).

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title
  • The Short Title of this Act is The Auckland Hospital Reserves Act 1890.

2 Vesting of lands
  • The lands described in the Schedule hereto are hereby vested for an estate in fee-simple in the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, under The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act 1885, for the purposes of the Auckland Provincial Hospital, subject to the said Act, and subject also that the said lands shall be used only for the purposes of planting and ornamentation.

Addition to Auckland Hospital-grounds.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 13 perches, more or less, being a portion of the Auckland Domain, in the suburbs of Auckland, commencing at the point, 200 links from Park Street, mentioned in the description of 1 acre 1 rood 8 perches vested in the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board by The Special Powers and Contracts Act 1886. Bounded towards the east by a line bearing north 17° 48′ east, 1266.1 links; towards the north by a line bearing north 64° 04′ west, 995.1 links; and towards the south-west generally by the present hospital-grounds, 998.7 links, 214 links, 174 links, and 524 links respectively to the starting-point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
