An Act to empower the Nelson Hospital and Charitable Aid Board to sell a certain Parcel of Land in the City of Nelson upon such Terms and Conditions as it thinks fit, and to apply the Proceeds of such Sale in or towards the Erection of an Old People's Home in the said City.
WHEREAS the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto is vested under and by virtue of the Nelson Hospital Reserves Act 1888, in the Nelson Hospital and Charitable Aid Board for the purposes of a general hospital at Nelson, subject to the provisions of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act 1885: And whereas the said parcel of land and the buildings thereon now used for an Old People's Home are unsuitable for such purpose, and the said Board have secured another and more suitable site for the erection of a new building for an Old People's Home, and the said parcel of land will therefore be no longer required for such purpose: And whereas it is desirable and expedient that the said parcel of land should be sold and the proceeds applied by the said Board as hereinafter provided:
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows.—
