Inglewood Technical-School Site Act 1909

An Act to vest in the Taranaki Education Board certain Land in the Borough of Inglewood as a Site for a Technical School.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title
  • This Act may be cited as the Inglewood Technical-school Site Act 1909.

2 Land in Schedule to vest in Education Board
  • Upon the passing of this Act the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to belong to the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Inglewood, and shall vest in the Education Board of the Education District of Taranaki as a site for a technical school for manual and technical instruction as defined by Part 7 of the Education Act 1908.

3 District Land Registrar to issue title
  • The District Land Registrar of the District of Taranaki shall without further authority issue a certificate of title to the said land in the name of the Education Board of the Education District of Taranaki.


Schedule

ALL that piece of land in the Taranaki Land District being section numbered 225 on the public map of the Borough of Inglewood, containing 1 rood, be the same a little more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the point where the eastern side of James Street meets the northern site of Rata Street; thence towards the west by James Street to the southern boundary of Section 222, Borough of Inglewood, a distance of 159.1 links; thence towards the north by the said southern boundary of Section 222 to the western boundary of Section 226, Borough of Inglewood, a distance of 170 links; thence towards the east by the said western boundary of Section 226 to the north side of Rata Street, a distance of 202.7 links; thence towards the south by the said north side of Rata Street to the point of commencement, a distance of 114.3 links.
