Templeton Domain Alteration of Boundaries Act 1910

An Act to make Alterations to the Boundaries of a Reserve known as the Templeton Domain by disposing of Part of the said Reserve and adding thereto Part of an Adjoining Reserve.

  • Preamble

    WHEREAS the land described in Schedule 1 hereto forms part of Reserve Number 702, situate in the Canterbury Land District: And whereas the land described in Schedule 2 hereto forms part of Reserve Number 2351, situate in the Canterbury Land District, and known as the Templeton Domain, and which adjoins Reserve Number 702: And whereas it is desirable that the land mentioned in Schedule 1 hereto should be added to Reserve Number 2351, and that the lands mentioned in Schedule 2 hereto be added to Reserve Number 702:

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title

  • This Act may be cited as the Templeton Domain Alteration of Boundaries Act 1910.

2 Alteration of boundaries of Templeton Domain

  • The land mentioned in Schedule 1 hereto shall form part of the Templeton Domain, and shall be added to and form part of Reserve 2351, and shall be subject to the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1908, and the boundaries of Reserve 702 shall be altered accordingly.

3 Power of Templeton Domain Board

  • All the powers conferred on the Templeton Domain Board by the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1908, shall be deemed to extend and be exercised over the lands mentioned in Schedule 1 hereto.

4 Alteration to boundaries of Reserve 702

  • The land mentioned in Schedule 2 hereto shall form part of Reserve 702, and the boundaries of Reserve 2351 shall be altered accordingly.

Schedule 1

ALL that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being part of Reserve 702, Block IX, Christchurch Survey District: bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-western boundary of Reserve 2351 where that boundary intersects Barters Road on the eastern side; thence north-easterly along that boundary a distance of 2282 links; thence north-westerly at right angles, 135 links; thence south-westerly at right angles, a distance of 2154 links, to Barters Road; thence along the eastern boundary of Barters Road, 186.1 links, to the commencing-point.

Schedule 2

ALL that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being part of Reserve 2351, Block IX, Christchurch Survey District: bounded towards the north-east by Barters Road; towards the south by Rural Section No 4364; and towards the north-west by Reserve 702.
