Greytown Town Lands and Hospital Lands Exchange Act 1911

An Act to authorize an Exchange of certain Lands between the Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board and the Greytown Town Land Trustees.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title

  • This Act may be cited as the Greytown Town Lands and Hospital Lands Exchange Act 1911.

2 Power to exchange certain lands

  • (1) The Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board and the Greytown Town Lands Trustees are hereby authorized to exchange the lands hereinafter described.

    (2) The land to be transferred by the Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board to the Greytown Town Lands Trustees is particularly described in Schedule 1 hereto.

    (3) The land to be transferred by the Greytown Town Lands Trustees to the Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board is particularly described in Schedule 2 hereto.

    (4) Each parcel of land transferred in accordance with this Act shall be held by the body to whom it is transferred on the same trusts as the land transferred by that body was held.

Schedule 1

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section 8 of Original Section 5, Greytown Small-farm Settlement, in the Borough of Greytown: bounded as follows—

commencing at a point on the southern side of Kuratawhiti Street, distant 220 links from the junction of Kuratawhiti Street and Mole Street; thence towards the north-west by Allotment 9 of the said Section 5, distance 455 links; towards the south-west by Allotments 11 and 18, distance 110 links; towards the south-east by Allotment 7 of the said Section 5, distance 455 links; and towards the north-east by the aforesaid Kuratawhiti Street, distance 110 links, to the point of commencement.

Schedule 2

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 38.7 perches, more or less, being Town Belt Sections 56 and 57 as shown on the plan of the Township of Greytown: bounded as follows—

commencing at a point on the south side of East Street, at the north-eastern corner of the Hospital Reserve; thence towards the south-west by the said reserve, distance 373 links; towards the south-east by the Tahorahina Native Reserve, distance 400 links; towards the north-east by Allotment 55 of the aforesaid Town Belt, distance 373 links; and towards the north-west by East Street, distance 400 links, to the point of commencement.
