Rangiora Drill-shed Site Vesting Act 1913

An Act to vest the Rangiora Drill-shed Site in His Majesty the King.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title

  • This Act may be cited as the Rangiora Drill-shed Site Vesting Act 1913.

2 Rangiora Drill-shed and site transferred to Crown

  • (1) The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby vested in His Majesty the King, subject, however, to all charges and incumbrances affecting the same, but free from all trusts affecting the same, and the trustees in whom the said property is vested shall, on the passing of this Act, vacate their office.

    (2) The provisions of subsections two, four, five, and six of section seventy-five of the Defence Amendment Act 1912, shall, mutatis mutandis, apply to the property hereby vested in the Crown in the same manner as if such property had been vested in the Crown by virtue of the said section.

Schedule

ALL that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being the lot numbered 17 on the sale plan of the rural section numbered 226A on the map or plan of the Chief Surveyor setting out and describing the rural lands in the Mandeville District, in the Provincial District of Canterbury: commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of the said rural section, the said point being 8 chains 50 links from the north-eastern corner of the said section, proceeding thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said section a distance of 1 chain, thence at a right angle in a westerly direction a distance of 2 chains 50 links, the whole forming a rectangular block.
