(1) The New Plymouth Borough Council may from time to time apply any moneys in its General Account, not exceeding in the aggregate the sum of five hundred dollars in any one financial year, towards all or any of the following purposes:—
(2) Nothing herein shall take away, restrict, or modify any power conferred upon the said Council by the Local Government Act 1974, or by any other Act.
The references to “five hundred dollars”
and “two hundred dollars”
were substituted, as from 10 July 1967, for references to “two hundred and fifty pounds”
and “one hundred pounds”
pursuant to section 7(1) Decimal Currency Act 1964 (1964 No 27).
The reference to the Local Government Act 1974 was substituted, as from 1 December 1974, for a reference to the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 pursuant to section 726(1) Local Government Act 1974 (1974 No 66).
