An Act to extend to other lands the rights, powers, authorities, and privileges conferred on the Napier Harbour Board and the Corporation of the City of Napier by the Napier Foreshore Act 1927 and the Napier Foreshore Extension Act 1935

  • Whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto form portion of or adjoin the sea beach near the City of Napier and are vested in the Napier Harbour Board under and by virtue of the Napier Harbour Board Empowering and Loan Act 1884: and whereas it is desirable for similar reasons to those recited in the preamble to the Napier Foreshore Act 1927 (hereinafter called the principal Act) that the same rights, powers, authorities, and privileges as are conferred on the said Board and the Corporation of the City of Napier respectively by the principal Act and the Napier Foreshore Extension Act 1935 with respect to the land described in Schedule 1 to the principal Act and the Schedule to the Napier Foreshore Extension Act 1935 shall be conferred on them respectively with respect to the lands described in the Schedule to this Act:

Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

  • This Act may be cited as the Napier Foreshore Extension Act 1966 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Napier Foreshore Act 1927 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Extending application of principal Act

  • The provisions of the principal Act shall extend and apply to the land described in the Schedule to this Act as if the land were included in Schedule 1 to the principal Act.

Schedule

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Napier containing 7 acres 2 roods 8 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No 11354, being part Town Section 664, Napier, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume A3, folio 496, Hawke's Bay Land Registry.
