An Act to validate a certain Deed of Lease registered in the Deeds Register Office at Dunedin as Number 151200 and granted in the Year Nineteen hundred and twenty-four by the Managers of the Saint Paul's Presbyterian Congregation, Oamaru, incorporated pursuant to Section Fourteen of the Presbyterian Church of Otago Incorporation Act 1875 [Repealed], to one Robert Brown, of Oamaru, Draper.
WHEREAS by a certain deed of lease bearing date the eighteenth day of September, nineteen hundred and twenty-four, and registered in the Deeds Register Office at Dunedin as Number 151200, the Managers of the Saint Paul's Presbyterian Congregation, Oamaru, incorporated pursuant to section fourteen of the Presbyterian Church of Otago Act 1875 [Repealed], and hereinafter in this Act referred to as the said Managers, leased to Robert Brown, of Oamaru, draper, part of Section 14, Block V, on the Record Map of the Town of Oamaru, of an area of thirty-seven perches and six one-hundredths of a perch, for the term of twenty-one years from the sixteenth day of October, nineteen hundred and twenty-four: And whereas by such deed of lease it is provided that before the expiration of the term thereby granted a new lease on the same conditions for a like term of twenty-one years shall be put up for public auction in manner therein provided, with provision in certain events for payment of compensation for improvements upon a valuation as in the said deed is mentioned: And whereas doubts have arisen as to the validity of the said deed of lease and it is desirable that such doubts should be removed:
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
