An Act to discharge an adoption order made on 25 January 1955, in favour of Lloyd Bishop Liddle, of Kaeo, farmer, and Patricia Eleanore Liddle, his wife, as adopting parents of Scott Alan Liddle
Whereas by adoption order made at the Magistrate's Court at Kaikohe on 20 January 1955, Alan Joseph Scott was legally adopted by Lloyd Bishop Liddle, of Kaeo, farmer, and Patricia Eleanore Liddle, his wife:
And whereas the said Alan Joseph Scott (by the said adoption order named Scott Alan Liddle) is desirous of marrying Lloyda Helen Liddle, a natural and legal daughter of the said Lloyd Bishop Liddle and Patricia Eleanore Liddle:
And whereas while the said adoption order remains in force the said intended marriage is, by virtue of the provisions of the Adoption Act 1955, within the degrees of prohibited relationship set out in the Marriage Act 1955:
And whereas no legal grounds exist for obtaining a discharge of the said adoption order pursuant to the provisions of the Adoption Act 1955.
