  • Preamble

    (1) The Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind is a body corporate constituted by the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind Act 1963:

    (2) The Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind Act 1963 consolidated and amended the New Zealand Foundation for the Blind Act 1955 and its amendments:

    (3) The Foundation wishes—

    • (a) to clarify its status as a body that is controlled primarily by, and operates for the benefit of, people who are blind and vision impaired:

    • (b) to modernise its structure, giving it characteristics of an incorporated society:

    (4) The objects of this Act cannot be achieved without the authority of Parliament.
