• Preamble

  WHEREAS an Act was passed by the General Assembly of New Zealand to incorporate the Governors of Nelson College intituled The Nelson College Act 1858 and by the said Act provision is made for the election of Governors of the said College And whereas since the passing of the said Act the Province of Nelson has been divided and part thereof constituted into the Province of Marlborough And whereas it is expedient that other provisions should be made for the appointment of the Governors of the said College

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows
