An Act to vest certain lands in the Town of Lawrence in Trustees for the Recreation of the Inhabitants of the Town of Lawrence and surrounding Districts.
WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago, under and by virtue of section sixty-two of The Otago Waste Lands Act 1866, Repealed recommended the Superintendent of Otago to set aside and reserve the lands hereinafter mentioned and described in the Schedules hereto: And whereas James Macandrew, Esquire, as and being Superintendent of the Province of Otago, did, by Proclamations dated respectively the Twenty-Fourth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, and the fourteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two, duly proclaim the said lands as reserves for recreation for the use of the inhabitants of the Town of Lawrence: And whereas a grant from the Crown has been issued for part of the said lands to the said James Macandrew, as such Superintendent, in trust for recreation purposes for the inhabitants of the Town of Lawrence: And whereas it is expedient to provide for the management of the said reserves:
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
