Bounded towards the North-west by Castle Street one hundred and seventy-two (172) links, by Athol Place three hundred and twenty-eight (328) links and two thousand seven hundred and twenty (2720) links, by Forth Street six hundred and twenty-four (624) links and two hundred and sixteen (216) links, by the Water of Leith one thousand one hundred and fifty (1150) links and five hundred and fifty (550) links, also by a street line five hundred and twenty-two (522) links; towards the North-east by the Water of Leith two hundred and eighty (280) links, by Albany Street one thousand one hundred and thirty-five (1135) links, also by St Andrew's Street five hundred (500) links; towards the South-east by Otago Harbour three hundred and eighty (380) links, one thousand three hundred and twenty (1320) links, eight hundred and fifty (850) links, five thousand eight hundred and fifty (5850) links, and four hundred and twelve (412) links, and by Leith Street twenty-six (26) links; and towards the South-west by Otago Harbour five hundred and ninety (590) links, by Albany Street four hundred and sixty-eight (468) links, also by the Water of Leith eight hundred and ninety-five (895) links, and three hundred and forty-five (345) links. As a site for public wharves, save and except such part of the said area as may have been set apart by any Act of the Assembly for educational purposes.
