An Act to transfer certain Land in the City of Auckland to the Council of the University of Auckland as a Site for a University, and to confer certain Powers upon the said Council.
The words “University of Auckland”
and “University”
were substituted, as from 16 October 1957, for the words “Auckland University College”
and “College”
pursuant to section 4 University of Auckland Amendment Act 1957 (1957 No 25).
The words “Council of the University of Auckland”
were substituted, as from 16 October 1957, for the words “Auckland University College Council”
pursuant to section 5 University of Auckland Amendment Act 1957 (1957 No 25).
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is part of the land set apart for the purposes of a Government House at Auckland, but is no longer required for those purposes: And whereas it is desired to transfer the said land to the governing body of the University of Auckland as a site for a university, on the terms and conditions hereinafter appearing:
