An Act to incorporate the Waitangi National Trust Board, to vest certain lands in the said Board, to confer certain powers upon the said Board, and for other purposes
WHEREAS the Right Honourable Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of the Dominion of New Zealand, and the Right Honourable Alina Kate Elaine, Lady Bledisloe, his wife, are registered as proprietors of an estate in fee simple in the lands described in the deed or declaration of trust set out in Schedule 1 hereto, and acquired the same by reason of their interest in and desire to preserve places of historical interest in the Dominion, and with a view to presenting and giving the said land as a place of historic interest, recreation, enjoyment, and benefit in perpetuity to the inhabitants of New Zealand: And whereas it is desirable that provision should be made for the vesting, management, and control of the said lands and for certain other matters.
