(1) Every person who—
(fa) commits an offence against section 63A (which relates to the taking of absolutely or partially protected marine wildlife) shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to a fine not exceeding $250,000 and to a further fine not exceeding $10,000 for every item of marine wildlife (other than coral) in respect of which the offence was committed:
