An Act to amend the law relating to Maoris and Maori land, and for other purposes
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Maori Purposes Act 1964.
Part 1 of this Act was repealed, as from 1 July 1993, by section 362 Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993 (1993 No 4).
[Repealed]
(1) The following enactments are hereby repealed—
(a) Section 15 of the Maori Housing Act 1935 (as substituted by subsection (1) of section 3 of the Maori Purposes Act 1954):
(b) Subsection (8) of section 18 of the Maori Housing Amendment Act 1938 (as substituted by section 15 of the Maori Purposes Act 1961):
(c) Section 51 of the Maori Trustee Act 1953.
(2) Subsection (1) of section 3 of the Maori Purposes Act 1954 is hereby consequentially repealed.
Paragraph (g) of subsection (7) of section 4 of the Maori Purposes Act 1959 is hereby repealed.
This section inserted section 40A of the Maori Community Development Act 1962.
