22 Restricted or prohibited fire seasons
  • (1) The National Rural Fire Authority may, by notice in the Gazette, constitute a rural fire district or by any subsequent notice in the Gazette, specify any restricted or prohibited fire season or seasons in the district or in any specified part or parts of the district and may at any time and from time to time in the same manner cancel or vary any season or seasons.

    (2) In addition to any fire season or seasons that may be specified under subsection (1) for a rural fire district, any Fire Authority may, by notice published in a newspaper circulating in the locality to which the notice relates, specify any restricted or prohibited fire season or seasons in its district or in any specified part or parts of its district, and may in like manner at any time and from time to time cancel or vary any such season or seasons.
