8M Substituted exemption

• Notwithstanding anything in this Part of this Act, the Director-General may, if he or she thinks fit, cancel an existing exemption granted under section 8F of this Act and issue a new exemption in substitution for it,—

  • (a) Where the terms or conditions of the existing exemption are to be or have been varied under section 8I of this Act:

  • (b) Where the existing exemption has become disfigured or dilapidated, or contains a mistake, or where the Director-General is satisfied that the existing exemption has been lost or destroyed.

  Part 1A, comprising sections 8A to 8ZZG, was inserted, as from 1 July 1997, by section 3 Food Amendment Act (No 2) 1996 (1996 No 97).
