(4) Section 2 of the Marriage Amendment Act 1959 is hereby consequentially repealed.
(5) Every person who was, immediately before the commencement of this Act, an Acting Registrar appointed under the principal Act shall, on that commencement, be deemed to have been appointed a Registrar under the principal Act.
Subsection (2) was repealed, as from 1 September 1995, by section 96 Births, Deaths, and Marriages Registration Act 1995 (1995 No 16).
