An Act to amend the District Courts Act 1947
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
(1) This Act may be cited as the District Courts Amendment Act (No 3) 1985, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Courts Act 1947 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April 1985.
(1) The following enactments are hereby repealed, namely:
(a) The District Courts Amendment Act 1978:
(b) Section 7A of the District Courts Amendment Act 1979:
(c) So much of the Schedule to the Family Courts Act 1980 as relates to the District Courts Act 1947:
(d) The District Courts Amendment Act 1985.
(2) Notwithstanding anything in this Act, salaries and allowances in respect of which the Higher Salaries Commission may make determinations shall, until amended or superseded by determination of the Commission, continue to be payable at the rates applicable at the commencement of this Act.
