(1) The committee of management of a newly constituted Maori incorporation shall hold its first meeting within 1 month after the date of its appointment, and the members shall elect 1 of their number to be chairman and shall determine the period for which that person is to hold office.
(2) The committee shall, at the same meeting, appoint some person to be secretary of the incorporation, and shall appoint some place to be the registered office of the incorporation.
(3) The members of the committee shall be jointly and severally responsible to report to the Registrar, not later than 2 weeks after the meeting, for inclusion in the register of Maori incorporations, the following information:
(a) The name, occupation, and address of the elected chairman and the period for which that person is to hold office:
(b) The name, occupation, and address of the appointed secretary:
(c) The place appointed as the registered office of the incorporation.
(4) The members of the committee shall be jointly and severally responsible to advise the Registrar from time to time of any change in the particulars mentioned in subsection (3) of this section, within 2 weeks after the date of election or appointment of a new chairman, secretary, or registered office, as the case may be.
