2 Repeal of General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade Act 1948
An Act to repeal the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade Act 1948
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
(1) This Act may be cited as the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade Act Repeal Act 1994.
(2) This Act shall come into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council.
Section 1(2): the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade Act Repeal Act 1994 brought into force, on 1 January 1995, by the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade Act Repeal Act Commencement Order 1994 (SR 1994/315).
(1) The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade Act 1948 is hereby repealed.
(2) Section 18 of the Tariff Act 1988 is hereby amended by repealing subsections (3) and (4).
(3) The following orders are hereby revoked:
(a) the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade Provisional Application Order 1948 (SR 1948/110):
(b) the Most Favoured Nation Tariff Order 1964 (SR 1964/133):
(c) the Most Favoured Nation Tariff Order 1964, Amendment No 1 (SR 1965/118):
