Acts are laws made by Parliament
Every person commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $3,000 who wilfully obstructs or hinders any dog control officer or dog ranger in the exercise of his or her powers.

Section 18 was amended, as from 1 December 2003, by section 8 Dog Control Amendment Act 2003 (2003 No 119) by substituting the expression “$3,000”
for the expression “$1,500”
