(1) An extraditable person who is in New Zealand and who is sought by an extradition country may be surrendered in accordance with either Part 3 or Part 4—
(a) whether the conduct in respect of which surrender is sought occurred before or after—
(i) the commencement of this Act; or
(ii) the application of the provisions of this Act to that country; and
(b) whether or not any New Zealand court has jurisdiction in respect of that conduct.
(2) This section is subject to the other provisions of this Act.
