(1) The following enactments are repealed:
(a) Extradition Act 1965:
(b) Extradition Amendment Act 1969:
(c) Fugitive Offenders Amendment Act 1976:
(d) Extradition Amendment Act 1998.
(2) The following enactments of the United Kingdom Parliament cease to have effect as part of the law of New Zealand:
(a) Fugitive Offenders Act 1881 (44 and 45 Vict, c 69):
(b) Fugitive Offenders (Protected States) Act 1915 (5 and 6 Geo 5, c 39).
(3) Subject to this Act, sections 17 to 22 of the Interpretation Act 1999 apply with respect to the enactments referred to in subsection (2) as if those enactments were Acts of the Parliament of New Zealand.
