An Act to—
(a) Amend the Civil Aviation Act 1990 to enable the implementation of certain Protocols to the Warsaw Convention relating to International Carriage by Air; and
(b) Provide for a system for controlling entry to airspace above the 1999-2000 America's Cup regatta
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
(1) This Act may be cited as the Civil Aviation Amendment Act 1999, and is part of the Civil Aviation Act 1990 (the principal Act).
(2) Except as provided in section 2 and section 6, this Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
This Part and the Schedule come into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council.
This section inserted Part 9A (comprising ss 91A to 91T) of the principal Act.
The principal Act is amended by adding the Schedules 4 and 5 set out in the Schedule.
The following enactments are repealed:
(a) Part 1 and Schedules 1 and 2 of the Carriage by Air Act 1967:
(b) The Carriage by Air Amendment Act 1990:
(c) The Carriage by Air Amendment Act (No 2) 1990.
Part 2 (comprising sections 6-17) expired, as from the close of 30 June 2000, pursuant to section 7 of this Act.
