An Act to provide for matters ancillary to the enactment of the Animal Products Act 1999, and in particular to—

  • (a) Repeal the Meat Act 1981 on 1 July 2006; and

  • (b) Amend that Act pending its repeal; and

  • (ba) repeal the Dairy Industry Act 1952 on 1 June 2005; and

  • (c) Make related and consequential amendments to other Acts and regulations; and

  • (d) Provide for transitional matters concerning the coming into effect of the Animal Products Act 1999, and particularly its relationship with the Meat Act 1981 over the period to 1 July 2006

  • Paragraph (a) of the Long Title was amended, as from 26 September 2002, by section 3(a) Animal Products (Ancillary and Transitional Provisions) Amendment Act 2002 (2002 No 30) by substituting the words 1 July 2006 for the words 1 November 2002.

  • Paragraph (ba) of the Long Title was inserted, as from 1 June 2005, by section 3 Animal Products (Ancillary and Transitional Provisions) Amendment Act 2005 (2005 No 27).

  • Paragraph (d) of the Long Title was amended, as from 26 September 2002, by section 3(b) Animal Products (Ancillary and Transitional Provisions) Amendment Act 2002 (2002 No 30) by substituting the words period to 1 July 2006 for the words 3-year period to 1 November 2002.
