159 Obstruction of inspector or auxiliary officer

(1)

A person commits an offence who wilfully obstructs or hinders an inspector or auxiliary officer in the exercise of the inspector’s or auxiliary officer’s powers or in the performance of the inspector’s or auxiliary officer’s duties under this Act.

(2)

A person who commits an offence against subsection (1) is liable on conviction,—

(a)

in the case of an individual, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months or to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to both; or

(b)

in the case of a body corporate, to a fine not exceeding $25,000.
