185 Offence to make false entry in register

(1)

Every person commits an offence who—

(a)

makes or causes to be made a false entry in the register or a writing falsely purporting to be a copy of an entry in the register knowing the entry or writing to be false; or

(b)

produces or tenders or causes to be produced or tendered in evidence any such writing, knowing the entry or writing to be false.

(2)

Every person who is convicted of an offence against subsection (1) is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years.
