Relationship with certain Acts

14 Use or application of certain Acts not limited or affected

(1)

Nothing in this Act limits or affects the general use or application of the following Acts:

However, the use or application of those Acts is in certain circumstances extended or affected by sections 10 to 13, 35 and 36, and 52 to 54, and Schedule 2.

Without limiting the generality of subsections (1) and (2), nothing in sections 35 and 36 and Schedule 2

(a)

affects the use or application of Part 3 of the Extradition Act 1999 in relation to a surrender to which those provisions of this Act do not apply (for example, in relation to the surrender of a Pitcairn accused in respect of an offence to be tried by a Pitcairn Court in a Pitcairn trial outside New Zealand); or

(b)

prevents the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or Pitcairn, or any other part or parts of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from being declared under that Act to be a designated country, or prevents Part 4 of that Act from being applied to any of those countries.
