194 Objections

(1)

The Police or any other person may object to an application for a licensed promoter’s licence.

(2)

The Police must lodge an objection to an application within 1 month after a copy of the application has been received by the Police.

(3)

A person, other than the Police, must lodge an objection to an application within 1 month after notice of the application is first published.

(4)

Objections must—

(a)

be lodged with the Secretary; and

(b)

relate to the suitability of the applicant, or a key person of the applicant, in terms of the matters specified in section 201(2) and (3); and

(c)

state the grounds of objection.

(5)

The Secretary must send a copy of the objection to the applicant within 7 days after the objection is lodged with the Secretary.
