This Act comes into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council; and 1 or more Orders in Council may be made appointing different dates for different provisions.
Section 2: section 5(1) and Part 11 brought into force, on 1 July 2004, by clause 2(1) of the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act Commencement Order 2004 (SR 2004/148).
Section 2: Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003 (except section 5(1) and Part 11) brought into force, on 1 September 2004, by clause 2(2) of the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act Commencement Order 2004 (SR 2004/148).
