189B Detection, interception, etc, of radiocommunications within prison boundaries

For the purpose of stopping or preventing unauthorised electronic communications to or from prisoners within prison boundaries, and the delivery, possession, or use of electronic communication devices by any person in contravention of section 141,—

(a)

any person authorised by the chief executive for the purpose of this section may use any equipment or device to detect, intercept, monitor, disable, disrupt, or interfere with radiocommunications within prison boundaries; but

(b)

no interference may be made under this section that would result in harmful interference outside prison boundaries.
