The significant matters referred to in section 23(1) include, without limitation:
(a) for people specified in section 23(1)(a) and (b) only, the right to object to a proposed post-mortem if, under section 33, specified family members have that right:
(b) a direction by the coroner that a post-mortem of the body concerned be performed:
(c) the coroner's reasons for directing that a post-mortem be performed:
(d) for people specified in section 23(1)(a) and (b) only, the retention or proposed retention of a body part or bodily sample, under section 48(2)(a) or (b) and for the purposes of the post-mortem (and, in particular, the matters in section 50(2) and (3)):
(e) that a copy of the pathologist's report on a post-mortem can be obtained under section 27:
(f) the opening of an inquiry:
(g) the date, time, and place fixed for an inquest:
(h) the completion of an inquiry.
