This Act comes into force on a day to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council, and 1 or more orders may be made bringing different provisions into force on different dates.
Section 2: sections 1–4, 6(2), 7–11, 13, 14, 16–44, 47, 48, 49(4), 50, 51, 55–58 and Schedule brought into force, on 1 October 2007, by clause 2 of the Sentencing Amendment Act 2007 Commencement Order 2007 (SR 2007/254).
