This Act is administered by the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment.


The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title
  • This Act is the Securities Amendment Act 2007.

2 Commencement
  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

3 Principal Act amended
  • This Act amends the Securities Act 1978.

4 Interpretation
  • Paragraph (a) of the definition of Registrar in section 2(1) is amended by omitting sections 7 and 67 and substituting sections 67A to 68B, 68G, 68I, and 68K.

5 Civil liability for breach of contributory mortgage regulations
  • Section 57A(2)(c) is amended by omitting District Registrar of Companies at Wellington and substituting Registrar.
