The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title
  • This Act is the Reserves Amendment Act 2010.

2 Commencement
  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

3 Principal Act amended
4 Licences to occupy reserves temporarily
  • Section 74(4) is amended by omitting 5 and substituting 10.

5 Transitional provision for application for licence
  • (1) This section applies to an application made before the commencement of this Act for a licence under section 74 of the principal Act.

    (2) The application must be dealt with—

    • (a) as if this Act had not been enacted if, before the commencement of this Act, public notice of the proposed licence was given under section 74(3) of the principal Act:

    • (b) in accordance with the principal Act as amended by this Act in all other cases.
