The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title
  • This Act is the Crown Entities Amendment Act 2010.

2 Commencement
  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

3 Principal Act amended
4 Method of appointment of members
  • (1) Section 28(3) is amended by omitting ; and in the second place where it appears and also by repealing paragraph (c).

    (2) Section 28 is amended by adding the following subsection:

    • (4) The responsible Minister must ensure that the following are notified in the Gazette as soon as is reasonably practicable after an appointment is made:

      • (a) the name of the appointee and the statutory entity; and

      • (b) the date on which the appointment takes effect; and

      • (c) the term of the appointment.
