The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1  Title
  • This Act is the Crimes Amendment Act 2012.

2  Commencement
  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

3  Principal Act amended
4  Short title, commencement, etc
  • Section 1(3) is amended by,—

    • (a) in the item relating to Part 5, omitting 98A and substituting 98F; and

    • (b) in the item relating to Part 8, omitting 210 and substituting 210A; and

    • (c) in the item relating to Part 9A, omitting 216E and substituting 216N; and

    • (d) in the item relating to Part 12, omitting 378 and substituting 378F; and

    • (e) in the item relating to Part 14, omitting 412 and substituting 415.
