207 Evidence in proceedings before licensing authority or licensing committee

(1)

The licensing authority or licensing committee concerned may receive as evidence any statement, document, information, or matter that in its opinion may assist it to deal effectually with any matter before it, whether or not the statement, document, or matter would be admissible in a court of law.

(2)

Subject to the foregoing provisions of this section, the Evidence Act 2006 applies to the authority or the committee and to the members of the authority or committee, and to all proceedings before the authority or committee, in the same manner as if the authority or committee were a court within the meaning of that Act.
