(1) A person objecting under section 24 makes the objection to the territorial authority.
(2) The person must give the territorial authority a statement of the objection that—
(a) contains reasons for the objection:
(b) is written or electronic:
(c) is given within the time described in subsection (3)—
(i) 15 working days after the date on which the person receives the notice given under section 22 or 23; or
(ii) a longer time that the authority allows.
(3) The times are,—
(a) for an objection under section 24(1), within 15 working days after the date of the public notice under section 20 or a longer time that the authority allows:
(b) for an objection under section 24(2) or (3), within 15 working days after the date of the notice under section 22 or a longer time that the authority allows:
(c) for an objection under section 24(4), within 15 working days after the date of the notice under section 23 or a longer time that the authority allows.
(4) An authority that receives an objection must—
(a) give at least 5 working days’ written or electronic notice to the person of the date, time, and place for the hearing of the objection:
(b) do 1 of the following within 20 working days after receiving the objection:
(i) dismiss it:
(ii) partly uphold it:
(iii) wholly uphold it:
(c) give written or electronic notice of its decision and the reasons for it within 15 working days after making it to—
(i) the person:
(ii) any other person the authority considers appropriate.
