Power to award costs

259 Commissioner may award costs
  • (1) The Commissioner may, in any proceedings before him or her under this Act,—

    • (a) by order, award to a party costs that the Commissioner considers reasonable of an amount that the Commissioner thinks appropriate (which, without limitation, may be on an indemnity basis); and

    • (b) direct how and by what parties they are to be paid.

    (2) The order may be entered as a judgment of the court and, with the leave of the court, may be enforced accordingly.
