6 Standards Council continues as Standards NZ
  • (1) There continues to be a body corporate that is the same body as the Standards Council established under section 3 of the Standards Act 1988, but, on and from the date this Act comes into force,—

    • (a) the body is named Standards New Zealand (Standards NZ); and

    • (b) the body is established by this section.

    (2) Standards NZ is a Crown entity for the purposes of section 7 of the Crown Entities Act 2004.

    (3) The Crown Entities Act 2004 applies to Standards NZ except to the extent that this Act expressly provides otherwise.

    (4) Standards NZ continues under this Act as specified in this Act, but otherwise without any change in its continuity, assets, rights, liabilities, contracts, or members.

    (5) Unless the context otherwise requires, all references to the Standards Council in any enactment or document must be read as references to Standards NZ.
