Bills are proposed Acts
(1) A New Zealand standard may be cited in an enactment or bylaw by the title and number given to it by Standards NZ.
(2) Subsection (1) applies without prejudice to any other mode of citation of a New Zealand standard.
(3) In subsection (1), citation of a New Zealand standard in an enactment or bylaw refers to the latest standard with that citation that has been promulgated by Standards NZ before the standard is cited in the enactment or bylaw.
(4) For the purposes of subsection (3), the latest standard includes any modifications to that standard made before the standard is cited.
