(1) On 1 July 2011, the Food Act 1981 is repealed and is replaced by this Act.
(2) Despite subsection (1), the Food Hygiene Regulations 1974 and the Food (Safety) Regulations 2002 continue in force until the end of this Act's introductory period, or until earlier revoked by regulations made under this Act.
