Trade Agreement (Canada) Order 1941

  • Preamble

    WHEREAS the trade agreement between the Dominion of Canada and the Dominion of New Zealand (being the agreement ratified by the Trade Agreement (New Zealand and Canada) Ratification Act 1932, and modified by Order in Council dated the 18th day of November, 1935,1 and by the Trade Agreement (Canada) Order 19382 is due to expire on the 30th day of September, 1941:

    And whereas it has been mutually agreed that the said agreement continue in force until the expiration of six months from the date on which either Government shall have given to the other notice in writing of its intention to terminate it:

    Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Customs Amendment Act 1921, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare and order as follows:—

  • This Order may be cited as the Trade Agreement (Canada) Order 1941.

  • The said agreement ratified by the Trade Agreement (New Zealand and Canada) Ratification Act 1932, including and subject to the aforesaid modifications thereof, shall continue in force until further order is made in the premises.
