Samoa Death Duties Order Amendment Ordinance 1955: revoked, at 11 pm on 1 January 1962, pursuant to section 10(2) of the Western Samoa Act 1961 (1961 No 68).

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of Western Samoa upon the recommendation of the High Commissioner as follows:
This Ordinance may be cited as the Samoa Death Duties Order Amendment Ordinance 1955, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Samoa Death Duties Order 19221 (hereinafter referred to as the Order).
The Order is hereby amended by repealing clause nine, and substituting the following clause:
The provisions of the Act as applied to Western Samoa by this Order shall apply with respect to estates of deceased Samoans (as defined by the Samoa Act) and with respect to gifts whereof the donor is a Samoan.
This clause shall apply to the estates of Samoans dying after the coming into force of this Ordinance and to gifts made after the coming into force of this Ordinance.
